An input device is used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system (such as a computer). Input and output device make up the hardware interface between a computer as a scanner. Input device are also a hardware used to translate words, sounds, image, and actions that people understand into a form that the system unit can be process. For example, when using a word processor, you typically use a keyboard to enter text and a mouse to issue commands. In addition to keyboard and mice, there are a wide variety of other input device. These include pointing, scanning, image capturing, and audio- input device.
